I've only 90 sets to sell, when they're gone, that's it. As you can see, these are the gorgeous 3" circular iron-on Oakland Athletics embroidered patches. In 1971, when the Oakland Athletics started winning a lot of games, their owner, Charlie Finley, was looking for a way to bring fans to the stadium. He decided to pay his players to grow mustaches and wear white athletic shoes. Back then, players always wore black cleats. Finley was looking for some way to make his team "cool" and "cutting edge." So he had the Oakland Athletics "white elephant" logo replaced with this "Swingin' A's" logo. If you notice he even put the white cleats into the logo. These Oakland A's teams were American League West Champions in 1971. In 1972, 1973, and 1974 the Oakland Athletics won the World Series. Unfortunately, Charles Finley saw free agent coming and decided to sell off his players, beginning in the summer of 1975. This is a well-made embroidered patch, with plenty of glue on the back. All you need to do is place this patch on your favorite shirt, blouse, jeans, or any any other cloth item. After that, just lay a towel over the patch and iron. The iron melts the glue and creates a super seal between this attractive patch and the cloth surface. The patch in the scan is the one you are considering.
