While Peter is preoccupied with bank robbers, his spider-sense alerts him to Paste Pot Pete's ambush on Johnny. Peter, as Spider-Man, laughs at the villain's name, prompting Pete to retreat and consider a name change. After Johnny deals with the robbers, he decides to confront Dr. Doom at the Latverian embassy for a sensational front-page shot.
