Steppenwolf Hour Of The Wolf 1975 Epic PE-33583 1st 1F/1F Promo Press w/Inner EX

Description: For sale is Steppenwolf's Hour Of The Wolf, released in 1975 by Epic Records, as a promotional copy with timing sticker on the front cover and a cut corner. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks, are the matrix numbers 1-F/1-F, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is VG+ with a cut corner and some wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG because of some ring wear, edge rubs, corner blunts, a cut corner and a half torn timing strip on the front cover. The vinyl is visually graded as NM- because of some very faint sleeve marks. I'm play grading between Excellent and NM Minus with an occasional bit of very low level surface noise, only noticeable during the quiet sections. It's been played on audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life left to it. This is still one of the best copies of this very rare album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find another in this condition, being that it is a first edition promotional copy. A real great addition to anyone's collection.
