Description: Studio Anne Carlton Isle Of Lewis Chess Set. This Ivory and black chess set is remarkable and includes all 32 pieces. Each piece is hand sculpted prior to making a mold. The pieces are handmade with a stone enriched resin. All mold lines are removed. All pieces have a felted bottom. Board is not included. The Isle Of Lewis pamphlet is included and explains that these pieces are reproductions of the Isle of Lewis chessman. The chess pieces are in very good condition. I did not see any chips or cracks. One of the ivory rooks has some manufacturing dark spots – see photograph 10 and 3 (rook on right side of photograph). The Box is also in very good condition with some signs of use. The protective foam is intact and the pieces fit in without falling out.
