Have a tape measure handy…I never shop for online jewelry without one. Thank You! DESIGNER/COMPANY/COUNTRY: Alfredo Villasana: Maestro Villasana’s career began on the ground floor of the Mexican Silver Renaissance which started in Taxco in 1931. He apprenticed with William Spratling (who initiated the revolution) and advanced to manage his workshop, Taller de las Delicias. After leaving Spratling, he went on to manage Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda for awhile before finally opening his own taller in the mid ‘40s. He is considered to be one of the finest in repoussé work and produced jewelry as well as hollowware until he closed the shop in the 1970s. His masterfully designed, skillfully executed pieces are featured in numerous Mexican Silver books and will only increase in value.
