VINTAGE 1940s 1950’s WILL STEINMAN ORIGINAL /TAFFETA FORMAL/PROM DRESS GOWN

Description: VINTAGE 1940s 1950’s WILL STEINMAN ORIGINAL /TAFFETA FORMAL/PROM DRESS GOWN. I’d like to start off by saying that I am not sure if this is a 1940s or 1950s gown/dress. This Dress is in Very, Very good condition for its age with only a couple of issues. The first one being a light brownish stain with if you pinholes I believe that it is probably from a crosage have not tried to clean it I do believe it may lighten but I cannot guarantee that. Please see pictures carefully. The other minor issue would be tiny spots a few of them in three different locations that are lost amongst all the fabric. While it is clean a trip to the cleaners is always recommended. This dress is a beautiful light ivory or cream. The picture are pretty true to color . At the bust it has sequins the fabric is a light taffeta and has one layer of lining. The second layer is crinoline once again please see pictures. It has a metal side zipper that works perfectly it. It has a side Bustle. It also has a hook and Eye the hook is fine the eye has to be reattached at one end. As I was looking at the lining and noticed it has a tear that has been fixed. It cannot be seen when wearing the dress. The straps on the dress look like they have been adjusted? This dress has no stretch. Here are the measurements.
