Description: Offered up for sale is the pictured 1950s - 1960s JC Higgins for Sears men’s duck canvas bird hunting coat. This is an American classic, something your grandfather might’ve had if he hunted. I got this at auction this summer at a farm estate sale in south central Minnesota. This is as authentic as it gets. It even has blood stains at the bottom of the bird pouch which is Karmin for these jackets. Rest assured, the coats has been cleaned since then. It’s also been in a closet for decades. No odors from storage or other such damage. There is a tear in the lining on the yoke where one of the hooks the game pouch was anchored was torn off. That is shown photographed. This measures out to about a size medium size medium large. I wear an XL and I can put it on, but it’s comically tight, think Curly’s sportcoat from the Three Stooges.
