Description: Rubber face Chico monkey doll by Rushton from the 1950s. This is a piece of history and an antique, not a toy for playing with CONDITION: This Chico is in surprisingly good condition for his age. No original tags. He has no odor, is not musty or moldy. There is some minor fur loss around the seams where his rubber hands are attached. The rest of his body is in great shape. Visible stitching can be seen at the nape of his neck - I would guess it is original stitching. It is firmly stitched and undamaged, not affecting the structure of the doll in any way. Stuffing: This Chico came to me partially stuffed. What was left of his original stuffing filled only his legs. Because it was in good condition, I have left that original stuffing in its place and filled the rest of his body and head with a high quality polyfil and stitched Chico back together. He sits perfectly upright by himself on a shelf!
