Description: Smoked (maybe smoked brown?) lid, hinged to black base. Although their are no "dividers" I'm sure the original design was for cassette storage - since it is by Maxell after all - but I've used it for years simply as a vintage / stylish odds an ends storage box in my AV room. Designed to hold 12 tapes. For other items approx size is 10 3/8 x 4 3/4 x 3 3/8" At one point in its life one of the hinges was repaired - but is working fine today! Surface scratches on plastic - more / less visible depending on lighting angle.
