Description: A Rare example of a " COLONIAL " " Rings of Quality " Liberty Bell double bit 9 1/4" x 5" slightly smaller than normal size axe head with multiple back side marks , may be lighter weight special order example! Handle appears to be a replacement ( will be removed unless requested + shipping , request before buying). Back marks are hard to decipher, 1st is a 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" rectangular mark center backside with inside numerals, "W O" to right and 2 smaller marks just above right and other numerals. I believe these are all special order machinist marks ! There is no deep pitting ( 1 spot just above "RINGS" appears to be in manufacture)just some surface rust to sharp edges . Bit weighs 4 lbs. + . Please check all photos for condition!
