Description: This Oxford model casting rod is in very good condition. The American Fork & Hoe Co. was actually part of the True Temper family. The rod has been cleaned; not altered. I applied Fluid Film to the metal rod itself. Fluid Film is an environmentally safe metal preservative. I also applied U-40 Cork Seal to the cork handle. It looks like there may have been a cork repair at some point. There are a total of 4 guides including the tip top. All guides are nice and tight. The reel seat adjustment is pretty cool. I am not sure if the tightener is all original. You turn it at the butt of the rod and the screw in the seat area moves to tighten the reel. Works great. The rod is 4-sided. As you can see from the photos are the patent numbers and below and above are the word “Oxford.”
