It is a ceramic beer stein that fits 4 liters or approximately 1 gallon. A quality stein that is well made and heavy. Steins like this are known to have a pewter lid, this one does not have a lid. It does have a hole on the top of the handle where a lid can be attached. The bottom is stamped made in West Germany and marked 1310. The stein was made by the manufacturer REIN ZINN. The condition of this German beer stein is good with no major damage or repairs. It does have some crazing on the inside and out. It may have natural wear like scratches and discoloration that you would expect in vintage and antique pieces.
