Description: VINTAGE BARBIE/ THE MIDGE TRILOGY (OOAK SILKSTONE CUSTOM DOLL) / BRUNETTE ONLY One of three dolls, this post is referencing the ‘BRUNETTE’ version of Midge ONLY. GIVE BRUNETTE MIDGE SOME LOVE... Why's it always gotta be the blondes? These NEW dolls (although unboxed for the sake of this customisation), are OOAK versions of the 60th Anniversary Silkstone Midge, a release that focused solely on the strawberry titian / red head version in her original orange/ yellow swimsuit. Paying homage to those original 60’s releases, these dolls come fully dressed in reproductions VINTAGE BARBIE BODY ensembles. Each set includes a swimsuit, a gather skirt, matching jewellery, knee length stockings, lace petticoats, white peep toe slips and a belt. Swimsuit is a reproduction from Busy Gal bodysuit… on the back there is a button opening on the neck and silver metal snaps closure at the waist. The gathered skirt is 100% cotton poplin and a reproduction of the Pak Gathered Skirt (but at knee length for a modern twist), closures are silver metal snaps at the back.. Superbly crafted by LaDOLLceVita1960 . This doll has been generously hand rooted as ‘WARM DARK BRUNETTE’. The hair has been styled into two braids and fixed with white satin bows. The hair has been rooted in a tri-blend of colours for depth and texture… Hair falls below the waste line and has a modern versatile rooting with complete centre part… see images. Hairstyles are intended to conceal the length and are sectioned (when applicable), so that a buyer can easily dismantle the bangs or partings from the bulk... Should buyers wish to cut or restyle later, it’s easily done, AGAIN rooting is NOT a traditional Midge root pattern. The hair fibre is Saran and has been LIGHTLY GEL FIXED to allow for transportation/postage. The dolls have nets if required. These dolls come boxed, tissued with ribbons as shown in the photos... original shippers will be provided. Please observe photographs! IF you want a Silkstone Midge with a modern rooting, a micro rooting, particular pattern style or altered hairline, query a made to order commission or check out if others are listed. Still have a few Midge dolls left... should you want a Silkstone Barbie, then you will need to provide the doll.. unless recently released and available, those ladies get costly on the secondary markets. THIS POSTING IS FOR ‘BRUNETTE’ MIDGE ONLY!!! ATTENTION: Some dolls MAY have dress or hair hand stitched in some areas. DRESS CARE: For the best effect, do not wash… Hand wash ONLY if necessary. BODY CARE: See leaflet provided for Silkstone care instructions. HAIR CARE: The hair can be restyled using cool water or permed using boiling water and set in ice water… Gel can be easily washed out... No heated appliance should be used on saran fibres. PRICE:Reflects overall production cost, time and my saintly patience... Silkstone is not a speedy rooting job but it is a superior and precise finish. NOTE: Selling these dolls individually... HOWEVER, a bundled sale would be preferable, what with them being conceived as a complete set, for this reason the bundle price will remain as low as one can go... production costs in the UK :)
