Description: Made in the mid-70's is this original gold lamp base for a Lava Lamp. It has lost its label but I believe it is a model 100 from around 1974—which makes it now 50 years old. It requires a 40 watt, A-15, appliance bulb, which I'm sending with it.. Fully tested, it works well. The lamp base and the cord are in excellent working order. This is a sale of the lamp base only. It is beautiful but any clean-up is left to new owner and is ready to put into use. It has the "Starlight" base—those tiny drilled holes that let light escape the base to project around a dark room. The small holes also help ventilate the base so it doesn't overheat. A nice vintage estate find. Selling as is, as found, as pictured and in working condition.
