Vintage Canon A35F 35mm Rangefinder Film Camera Point & Shoot TESTED! WORKS!

Description: You are buying the camera shown in the photos. Overall condition is very nice for the age! Behind the lens are a few specs of dust, but absolutely no fungus. Shutter times appear to be accurate and the shutter curtain operates perfectly. The light meter does function - but the battery that is currently installed is a standard button cell - 1.5 volts instead of the required 1.3 volt from a special Mercury battery that is only available off of the internet. This might throw off your shutter times / apertures just a hair!! You will need to consider compensating during film processing by pulling half a stop or so (or just buy the correct battery....). The flash fires perfectly and does not take too long to recharge. The flash runs on a single AA battery - a rechargeable one will work fine. The flash ready light does take a little while to light up. Because rechargeable batteries operate at a lower voltage, using a standard alkaline battery will make the flash ready light come on faster if that is important to you at all. The light seals are definitely drying out and I would definitely replace them before using this camera - it is actually easy to do with no experience at all. Light seal kits can be purchased on eBay or Amazon and it is a good way to familiarize yourself with your camera. As the camera sits, the light seals do appear to be good enough to prevent any major light weeks.
