Description: Item Description: DUKES OF HAZZARD METAL LUNCHBOX & PLASTIC THERMOS from Aladdin Industries 1980. This embossed lunchkit features scenes and characters from the popular TV series of the same name. The front panel has Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) and her cousins Bo and Luke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) – with the back adding Boss Hogg and Uncle Jess – and the bottom sports Cooter and Boss Hogg. The 1969 Dodge Charger named The General Lee or just “The General” was the star, but John Schneider went on to become a country music star. Awesome use of color and action by the designer and artistic director for Aladdin, Elmer Lehnhardt (who invented the “deep-relief 3-D embossing” featured on the main panels of this box). Another classic American collectible from Elmer and Aladdin! Condition: Lunchbox and Thermos are complete and correct. Box lithos are clean and glossy throughout the front and rear main panel with no blemishes to the raised areas so typical with these vintage embossed boxes. Rear panel and handle shows some fading. Rim panels are clean and glossy with light rubbings. Light rim wear on front and a tad heavier on back - with no corner dents or dimples. Metal hardware is nice and shiny. Inside is also clean with a few light rubbings - and no previous owner markings. Box in overall Excellent C-8 condition. Thermos decals and clean and glossy throughout with light rubbings - in overall Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition.
