Description: Vintage Still Life Floral Oil Painting by French Artist Marcel Catelein 1892-1979. If you do an internet search you will find other examples of his paintings and the prices they've achieved. This pretty little painting measures 7.5" X 9.5". Frame is 11.25" X 14.25". The painting has some crazing, and a few spots where paint is missing and needs touching up. The paint was applied rather thickly in some parts, and I think the canvas flexed and a bit of paint popped off. I have pointed to 2 areas with this, but there is also some paint missing on the lower petal of the beige flower. The attractive frame has a few nicks but overall is in good vintage condition.
