Limoges porcelain was produced by a number of factories in the Limoges region of France from the late 1700's until around 1930. Production did not cease in 1930, instead the styles changed from very elaborate to more basic in design. In the 1920's, as many as 48 companies produced porcelains marked Limoges. Back marks not only denoted their origin in France, but many pieces included factory marks, decorating marks, and signatures of the individual who decorated each piece. Factories operating in the Limoges region produced molded white wares and the undecorated "blanks" were taken to decorating studios away from the factory while other pieces were exported without decoration to the United States where the pieces were then decorated. This Limoges Vignaud Bone China Teacup and Saucer were made in France in the 1930's as confirmed by the back stamp on both china pieces. This bone china cup and saucer with floral design and yellow birds are in excellent condition with no scratches, chips, or cracks, in fact, the china appears to have never been used only displayed. This elegant one of a kind Limoges Vignaud Bone China Teacup and Saucer would make a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage teacups! Please look photos carefully and you can count a numbert of all pieces. On your request extra photos of each piece can be provided.Because bone china is quite fragile, proper packing is a necessity. The teacup and saucer will be securely wrapped with bubble wrap in one sturdy cardboard box then packed in a second box and shipped USPS Priority Mail which includes tracking and insurance.
