Description: Superscope Marantz Model No. G-202LP 8" X 10" X 3" 4 lbs 5 oz Vintage Superscope by Marantz professional cassette tape player and recorder, not working properly. Rewind and fast forward are working. I got it to play one tape, it was almost inaudible and very warped sounding. After that initial test, hitting play would result in it just stopping. Recorder untested. I believe this casette player/recorder is from 1978 or 1979. These were high quality electronics in their day. Full control recording with recording level and variable speed (veri-speed). Slider volume control with tone control (similar to treble/bass). Built in condenser microphone as well as input port on side for included external mic. Built in single speaker output as well as 3.5mm auxiliary output and headphone jack/speaker output. Needle gauge battery power reader. Mechanical tape counter. Can be operated with battery (requires size C, not included) 6V power supply (not included) or standard 120v removable power cord (included). Well worth a refurbishing.
