Description: A vintage, hanging Mexican folk art Tree of Life style candleholder from the Castillo family workshops, Izucar de Matamoros, Puebla.An unusual, round hanging chandelier design in bright and cheerful colours. There's plenty of blue and yellow birds, 16 hanging fruit and 4 candleholders. The interior is also pretty - painted and signed 'Mex' with some indistinct initials - most likely for Alfonso Castillo Orta. Exact age unknown - estimated 1980s Approximate size: 9" across x 7" high - 9" including the hanging fruit. Excellent vintage condition: clean and bright with no damage noted.
