Description: This is a beautiful, vintage Navajo sterling silver and turquoise squash blossom necklace. The necklace was purchased from an estate in Arizona. This amazing piece was made by an unknown Navajo artist - the absence signature is typical of older pieces. It has also been tested as sterling. The hand made necklace measures 30 inches long and the naja is an additional 2 1/4 inches; the naja is 2 1/2 inches wide. There are 12 squash blossoms that are 7/8 inches long and 2 inches inch wide. The naja has nine beautiful stones and all stones are in bezel settings; the natural turquoise stones vary in shape.The stones in the squashes are from 3/8 inch long to just under 1/2 inch long. All the bench beads are 8mm. The closure is a hook and eye. This necklace weighs 167 grams or 5.9 ounces. A stunning Native American piece to benefit any collection.
