Description: This vintage bottle with stopper from NV Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij, Gouda, South Holland is a unique addition to any collection. The company, known as 'Plazuid' or PZH, opened in 1898 as a new locale for the traditional Delft blue style of ceramics. Their location was in the city of Gouda, leading to the name of Gouda ware. The hand-painted blue ceramic and glossy finish make this bottle a standout piece. Its mid-century modern style and production technique of Delft/Gouda ware add to its charm. Measuring 10 inches in height and 4.5 inches in width, this liqueur bottle is perfect for all occasions. It weighs 1 pound and 2.7 ounces and has a printed backstamp. This original piece from the mid-20th century is a great addition for collectors of vintage pottery. The bottle is in very good used condition. The bottle has no cracks or signs of wear other than a small rough spot on the spout (see picture). The stopper may or may not be the original one from the bottle, although they were paired when I purchased them. The ceramic of the stopper has some crazing and discoloration. The cork has been repaired, but remains functional. This is a very good example of this type of ceramic work.
