Description: Vintage Revell PACTRA Award 1963 1964 Pegasus Custom Model Car Contest Trophy. The history of the Revell company it's also the history of a great passion that started back in the mid 40s in America. There in Venice/California the founder of Revell Inc.Lewis H.Glaserhad the idea to build a true-to-scale car out of several plastic parts himself. Designed under the direction of William L. Mitchell, GM Design Vice President, the Pegasus was built as a "design concept" study from a production 1970 Pontiac Firebird. The front end, grille and fender vents were inspired by Ferrari designs.Enzo Ferraricontributed a 365 GTB/4 V12 engine to the project. Very unique trophy or automotive history.
