Description: Vintage Rubber Face Monkey Doll Mid Century Plush AS-IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY This kitschy & hauntingly terrifying vintage rubber faced monkey doll plush toy will make a great addition to your collection if you are into that sort of thing (which I am, but only in spirit lol). I initially purchased it with the intention of using the face in an art assemblage piece but couldn't bring myself to tearing it apart. It features a short fur covered form (I am not sure if it is mohair or synthetic) with a painted molded rubber face, straw stuffed head (possibly poly fill on the body & limbs),what were likely yellow felt hands & feet, a single yellow felt style ear, matching tail, and remnants of a sewn on label. Based on the color of the fur shown under the tail, it appears to have originally been a light blue fur but I cannot guarantee. Will blend perfectly in collections including macabre, paranormal, haunted toys & dolls, antique toys, MCM toys, retro and more. Sadly, it is in pretty bad shape/disrepair with VERY HEAVY WEAR, DISTRESSING & DAMAGE including heavy staining, tears, multiple holes, missing ear, cuts, rips, missing/thinning fur, dry rotting, mildew, straw coming out of the ear hole, the head is about to come off, heavy grime and MORE so PLEASE read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 2.7 ozsMeasures approximately 2.5" x 4" x 11" overallCondition: In AS-IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR vintage pre-owned condition with HEAVY WEAR & DAMAGE including but not limited to the form basically falling apart, actively shedding fur/stuffing/fabric, dry rotting on all components with the possible exception of the rubber face, very heavy staining including rust spots, water damage, mildew, the stitched seams are coming apart, missing fur hair all over the form with the base fabric visible, the fur fibers are stiff/hard, the monkey's right ear is missing and there is a large open hole/tear there with straw stuffing coming out, the rubber face is dirty/stained/scratched, patina, oxidation, stiffness, dry rotting, overall deterioration, tears on the hands/feet, the arms/legs/tail are all stiff, the stitching/cording that attaches the head to the body is coming undone, fraying, amazingly there is no smell/odor that I can detect, flaking gunk/grime, scuffing on the face, the pink on the nose has possibly been touched up more recently, dirt, dust, grime, gunk, loose fibers/lent/hairs and overall HEAVY WEAR, TEAR, AND DISTRESSING from age and abuse.
