Item Description: This auction is for an old used boonie hat that was recently purchased from a local estate. The snap button is marked Scovill on one side and Gripper on the other side. The size tag is marked 7 1/8. The outside of the hat looks to be in good shape. The black inner liner shows wear and has some edge damage in areas and along the seams. This hat is pretty flat from being stored away for several decades (see last picture). My friend who is a military collector seems to think it is Vietnam era and possibly foreign made.
