Description: Vtg RARE/UNIQUE Colgate & Co Wood Salesman Sample Case (Mfg of Fine Toilet Goods). This is the only one I've ever seen like this. Pre mid 1930s as it was still Colgate & Co. Beautiful wooden case is approx 16.5 x 13 x 4 in deep. The handle feels like leather but not 100% sure. No cracks. Hardware intact and working. Please note that the front of the top lid has small hinges and it actually turns up; not sure if my photos show this very well. It provides a "lip" so perhaps for writing?? Some wear to wood and scratches but no cracks. Inside is the label that has come unglued but you can see in the lid where it belongs and it fits perfectly. Cardboard sign is curled; does not lay flat. Great color but some wear to edges. No rips or tears. Please see photos. Selling as is.
