Description: Walnut Burl wood veneer 10" x 18" with no backing raw veneer 1/42" thickness. One piece per price AA+ quality grade 1/42" thickness. Piece is not square. 10" at base and midpoint tapers at 13" length down to 4". So it will clear 10" x 13" or 4" x 13". Raw veneer may require some flattening, which is very simple to do and can be done with softener (shown - sold separately). Other sizes and backed veneer are available. Ships flat in between thick cardboard. *Raw veneer may have cracks and holes that need mended or filled with wood filler (Walnut in this case). About pictures: Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. How to apply: Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement. Raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying. How to finish: most any conventional finishing products can be used with veneer that is applied correctly. Disclaimer: Sometimes veneers have minor splits or tears in them. These are usually taped or repaired in some manner and shouldn’t impact overall quality or satisfaction. There may also be some minor wood filler used to fill cracks and other crevices that may exist. Wood products are rarely perfect and some consideration of that may be needed occasionally since this is a natural product and is rarely ever perfect.
