Description: World War ll Marine issue Folmer Graflex Combat Graphic 45 4x5 Signal Corps camera and LM-41 (1) Signal Corps tripod, a Camera Equipment Co Professional Junior model. Introduced in 1944 these cameras saw service in the South Pacific with the US Navy and Marines. Navy cameras are black. Marine issue cameras are OD green. Made of wood with a Kodak Anastigmat Special 127mm f/4.7 lens that has a focusing helix built in to it. Also has a simplified version of the focal plane shutter used in the Speed Graphic. This camera is missing the outer focusing wheel but the lens focusing barrel turns easily. See Photos. The exterior finger levers to cock and fire the leaf shutter work. The shutter fires but the rim set adjustments get tight as you move towards the higher speeds and I am not going to force it. The aperture adjusts correctly. These shutters are not hard to service. The focal plane shutter works and the curtains look ok, but I doubt the speeds are correct. The lens has some interior fog and or fungus as would be expected I suppose. These came with the standard spring back for film holders or a removable back. This one has the removable back to use a roll film holder or or sheet film holders. One of the contacts for the flash port is missing and the sheet metal "wire" has come undone on the inside of the camera. The ground glass focusing screen is cracked. It is missing the ID plate from the top of the camera. LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY
