Description: Several interesting things going on in this picture. First off we have what appears to be an African American unit working on a Japanese plane of what I think is a folding wing Nakajima B5N normally used as a carrier based torpedo bomber. There do appear to be a couple of asians helping them along with a soldier with his gun watching over the operation. There is a crane next to the plane and it looks as though they have stopped from pushing the plane probably waiting on the crane to load it on the flat bed trailer. In the background you can see another American plane that has damage on the left wing tip and I believe I see the damaged portion hanging down. To the left of this in the background I see what looks like one or several larger planes, but it is hard to tell if they are damaged or just underneath camoflauge. There appears to be another contingent of soldiers in this area also working on these planes, and they to have some trailers and trucks waiting also--probably for the same crane.I am only guessing but this might be a photo after an engagement where the US forces captured an air field and in doing so may have also captured this bomber unharmed. Designation on the tailfin reads KEB 306 and I could not find a reference for this designation. On the back there is a stamp reading "Credit National Archives 111-SC-318816" and hand written underneath that "flaw in negative". I could not find any info with this reference number on the National Archives website. Measures 14 by 11 inches H20
