Description: WWI AEF US Army Model 1905 Bayonet with a M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard - Marked: RIA over Flaming Bomb & Dated 1918 - for M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand Rifle - Very NICE ConditionUp for sale is a WWI AEF US Army Model 1905 Bayonet with a M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard. This bayonet is marked RIA (Rock Island Arsenal) w/ordnance bomb and Dated 1918 on one side, the other side is marked US 342417. Rock Island Arsenal Bayonets are starting to get hard to find. The Blade has a blued finish on the blade. There is no evidence of sharpening on the blade. One tiny nick, no chips in the blade. The markings are clear and readable. The Walnut grips are in Nice Condition. Showing some wear and normal dings and handling marks. The scabbard is a M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard with the leather tip. The leather is tip is still intact. No rips or tears in the canvas covering. There is a very faint 1917 date on the bottom of the leather tip. There are also a set of initials on the rear of the scabbard. This bayonet will fit the M1903/A3 Springfield Rifles and the M1 Garand Rifle.See M.H.
